Maternal-Fetal Medicine Observation Program

Educational content :
Making clinical and ultrasonographic evaluations and making recommendations in the presence of abnormal early pregnancy findings.
11-14 weeks Down syndrome, trisomy 13/18 scan (nuchal thickness-nuchal thickness/PAPP-A/free beta hCG using nasal bone; with ductus venosus and tricuspid regurgitation if necessary) and 11-14 weeks detailed ultrasonographic examination.
20-24 weeks 4 dimensional detailed ultrasonographic examination (2nd level ultrasonography).
Diagnosis and treatment in fetal anomalies.
Interventional interventions for prenatal diagnosis:
amniocentesis
CVS (Chorionic villus sampling)
cordocentesis
Evaluation and management of high-risk pregnancies with 11-14 week screening (double test), quadruple test or NIPT (cffDNA)
Diagnosis and management in perinatal infections (Rubella, CMV, Toxoplasmosis, parvovirus B-19 etc.)
Pregnancy follow-up in erythrocyte alloimmunization (Affected Rh incompatibility or alloimmunizations due to other erythrocyte antigens)
Fetal anemia follow-up with MCA Doppler measurements
Cordocentesis and intrauterine transfusion if necessary for the diagnosis of fetal anemia
Evaluation of multiple pregnancies in terms of possible risks (anomaly, TTTS, TAPS, selective IUGR)
Ultrasonography and Doppler follow-up and delivery timing in fetal growth and development disorders (Intrauterine growth retardation-IUGR-or macrosomia)
Evaluation, follow-up and delivery timing of pregnancies complicated by systemic maternal diseases such as hypertension, preeclampsia, diabetes
Evaluation and management of amniotic fluid abnormalities (oligohydramnios, polyhydramnios)

General information:
