About the Program:
The Allergy and Immunology Observation Program provides a diverse and comprehensive clinical and didactic educational experience in all aspects of allergy and immunology, including allergic diseases, asthma, congenital and acquired immunodeficiency, solid organ and bone marrow transplantation, and immune dysregulation. Our program is to train physicians and physician scientists who will be leaders in their fields in academic medicine and patient care.

Important examinations and treatments for children and adults in the Allergy and Immunology department are listed below.

RESPIRATORY FUNCTION TESTS
These are tests performed with the help of a device called spirometry to evaluate the condition of the airways and lung capacity. Maximum respiratory capacity is determined by spirometry, taking into account age, height and gender.

Immunotherapy:
Immunotherapy is a method used in the treatment of symptoms seen in allergic diseases. In this method, the allergy-causing substance is given to the patient at regular intervals to trigger the immune system response. As a result, it is aimed to reduce or eliminate the symptoms that occur in case of exposure to the allergen, which is called immunotolerance.
